…do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.

Romans 12:3

The idea is that God has allotted to each believer a standard of faith by which to measure himself and that standard is Christ. If Christ is our standard, the tendency to exalt ourselves by comparing ourselves with others will be curbed.

R. Kent Hughes

In our ministry to broken women and their families, this passage is worth noting.

L to R – Eddy, one of our male support workers doing a delivery of baby items to 2 mums in one day. And baby ‘G’ born to one of our Hope mums.

We have been very busy in the last two months shopping for and delivering baby items, food hampers to our Hope mums, and also taking them to their appointments. We’ve had 5 babies born in March. We couldn’t do this without your financial and material support. So, thank you! We don’t want it to be a social justice ministry only. We pray for opportunities to speak words about the Gospel and to give a Bible. Sometimes these opportunities do come.

Testimony

Sharing with you a testimony from one of the mums whose baby was born last month:

‘At the beginning of my pregnancy, worries and stresses were overwhelming both myself and my partner and we had no idea how we would prepare ourselves for a child. That’s when we came across Hope House and we got the courage to hold on and we are so glad we did. With the help of the Hope House, we were able to prepare for the arrival of our baby with confidence and guidance. Nadia was so helpful and kind. Easing our anxiety, helping us prepare essentials and purchasing items that we couldn’t ourselves. We are so grateful to have found the Hope House and to all who donate to women and parents in need.’

Wishing you a Blessed Easter.
